Jamiatul Banat Al Islamia came into existence in 1996 with special request and joint efforts of renowned preacher Hazratji Maulana Inamul Hasan Kandhlwi. Starting with only two students, it rapidly grew into an institution of excellence with over a thousand students who come to study from all over India.

The first Madrasa was setup in Hazrat Nizamuddin and then later in Shaheen Bagh, Okhla, another Madrasa was established. With the grace of Allah, the institution expanded and has several departments functioning under it including, Zayed College for Girls, Zayed Computer Education Centre, Jama Masjid Shaheen Bagh etc.

Islam has ordained sympathy for the poor and downtrodden. At the core of all the activities and projects of Jamiat ul Banat, is our commitment to their upliftment and wellbeing.

“If you give a man a fish, he will have food for the rest of the day. But if you teach him how to fish, he will have food for the rest of his life.”

While various other community initiatives have been undertaken, central to our mission is imparting education to young individuals. Under our umbrella fall several schools, madrasas, and vocational training centers. We are of the firm belief that education is an effective tool to elevate the social and economic conditions of the marginalized sections of society.

Our commitment is not only limited to imparting education, but also developing overall personality of our students ingraining in them skills, confidence and empathy so as they become contributing members of the society and get themselves into whereas they give back to the society and help in community and nation- building.
