The Jamiatul Banat Al- Islamia education and Social Society has a clear vision of providing quality education to all and molding the future generation into worthy successors to the national destiny. Good is not enough when better is expected and needed. The need for a good school to provide quality education (especially for girls) needs no explanation.

 It is in a good school that the raw material of nation’s human resources under goes prolonged processing to come out as the finished product of future generation to contribute to national progress.

 With these aims and objectives in mind, sincere at heart for the upliftment of people/women, devoted and dedicated Hazrat Maulana Mho Ilyas shaheb along with some other talented and dedicated person who have the missionary spirit formed the Jamiatul Banat Al-Islamia Educational and Social Society Which is a registered body  under registration act. Maulana Mohd Ilyas Shaheb is prominent Name in the field of religious education and a person with high sense of social responsibility with clear version.

The thoughtful members of the society had however always felt the need of a good to run on public school lines to meet the growing needs of girls from Muslim community and set about to make everybody’s dream a reality. In pursuance. of this intention.  Jamiatul Banat Al-I slamia educational and social society started Zayed public school in a quit way. Eminent educationists are on the panel of advisory board of the school.

Medium of instruction

 The medium of instruction in the school is English for all classes and subjects. Proficiency in Hindi and Urdu is aimed at.

Courses of study

Zayed Public School follows the syllabus and courses as prescribed by the C. B S E and prepares the students accordingly. Efforts are on to secure affiliation from C. B. S. E.

Primary section (Nur. & KG)

 A child should be 4 years old for admission to the nursery class. The teaching and learning process is child- centered, activity based and is pressure free allowing the children to be nurtured at their own pace . The section is equipped with latest teaching aids and toys and other apparatus which are used extensively by competent and trained teacher in order to make the learning process creative productive and enjoyable.

 A bond with nature is development through regular nature rambling activities All the cognitive senses of the child are development so that is ready for formal schooling.

Primary Section

The curriculum in the Primary section is so designed as to strengthen the basic skills acquired at the pre – primary level. This is done through activity oriented child- centered teaching A continuous comprehensive evaluation system is followed in order to ensure the holistic development of the child’s personality and to relieve the students of the stress and strain of tests and examinations. The curriculum is in line with the guidelines provided by NCERT & CBSE. Urdu & Islamia are introduced to the student from class- 1st

Life skills, environment studies, disaster management, physical education, art and craft, music, computer science and martial arts form part of curriculum.

Effective teaching:

Cramming rote learning and memory testing are the major hazards facing the child. ZPS is a school with an innovative system of education aiming at academic excellence through self motivation. Teaching aids audio- visual aids projects and participation of students in teaching learning process is the part of effective teaching because multi sensory appeal promotes better learning, retention and recall.

Audio- visual education

The school has got a slide projector overhead projector, projection microscope and cassette player which help to make teaching more effective and enjoyable.

Audio – Visual department arranges films as educational value.

Library

 Library is the central nerve of knowledge of school, the school has well equipped library. The student are encouraged by the  teacher to read good books to widen their interest and extend their horizon because no where better than in books can be found the necessary knowledge, understanding and inspiration for better word. Library period has been provided for each class in the time table Best users of the library are given prizes.

Science laboratory

Rapid growth of science has great impact on teaching of science. The acquaintance to acquire scientific knowledge and the verification of simple natural law and phenomenon are of great inquisitiveness to the young scientist and the science laboratory motivates the same. Thus the teaching of science must be laboratory oriented. To keep into the practice, the school has established a will well equipped laboratory having enough apparatus, equipment including models for demonstration to make science teaching effective. Students take keen interest in science club and have made some good models which reflect their creative skills.

Comprehensive dossiers:

Comprehensive dossiers are maintained for all students giving their all round progress during the school. Aptitude test, sociometric test and feedback forms are used to establish a continuous rapport between the Student and the teacher.

Evaluation:

 Continuous and comprehensive evaluation is the main feature of the school. Monday test scheme is introduced in the school. Teachers get feedback through Monday test and take remedial measures. This scheme has; proved fruitful and there is a lot of improvement in the standard of education. Quarterly test are carefully assessed and quarterly report reflect the average scores of every class and subject. A school badge is given to a student securing at least 75% marks in three subject and not less than 70% marks in other subjects.

Co- curricular activities:

 Co- curricular activities play a very important role in developing the inherent potentialities and latent facilities of child and the formation of a well round personality. To achieve this objective, debates, declamation contest, quiz contest, poetic symposia one act play, mass P. T have been knit in the school curriculum. An activity period has been introduced in the school time table on Thursday.

Participation in one of the activity is compulsory for every student.

Day boarding scheme, School provides long guidance to the children taking part in carefully designed and balanced curriculum under the supervision of teachers. Lunch is provided to these students in the school every day at nominal charges. They learn to feat together and to share. Special coaching is given to these students in the subjects in which they are weak. Weak students also stay in the school two hours than the scheduled timings. During their stay, they complete their home work under the supervision of teachers. This helps the children in their academic performance. No loitering in the afternoon and no private tutor required and lighten the burden of the parents.

Games and sports

It has rightly been said that the battle of waterloo was in the play fields of Eton. Games form an integral and vital part of school curriculum. The school provides facilities for games and sport. Each student is encouraged to take part in games to ensure a broad based participation. Inter house competitions are held in all available games periodically.

Computer education:

With a modern and futuristic outlook towards education and all round development of children. Computer education at Z.P.S. is universal for all students from class II on wards computer science is thought as a subject. Computers are also used as effective tool in the teacher learning process. Multimedia presentation is a common feature that helps each learner to approach life in away that open closed doors and window for them. 

Parent’s teacher meeting day

Parents have an important role to pay in the education of their ward and shaping up his personality and must work together with teacher to improve learning and fill gaps wherever necessary. To constantly monitor the academic progress of the student, proper interaction between the parents and the teacher is needed. To facilitate this interaction, a day has been set apart for meeting of parents with the teachers. Open day for parents is our special day. Feedback from the parents. Helps the school immensely.

School clinic

The school has made arrangement to conduct periodical medical checkup of each student by highly qualified doctors and cumulative record and growth of the child.

Value education / Islamiat

The school aims at providing value based education with special emphasis on moral education. The emphasis is on charity tolerance and good conduct.

Stress is laid on making Muslim student familiar with the essentials of their religion and strengthening their moral fiber through religious education is imparted and with a view to strengthen their moral fiber they are provided is imparted and with a view to strengthen their moral fiber they are provided access to their scriptures. The main emphasis is on instilling into the student a respect for other religions and ideologies as well and a never -failing concern for moral values.

The Muslim students those are studying different public school of Delhi and are not aware of basic and essentials of teachings of Islam. The management offers an opportunity to the parents of such students to send their children to Zayed Public School on Sunday where they will be taught essentials of religion and Islamic culture to strength on their moral fiber. The management however would also like the school to fulfill a long felt and often expressed need. Indians who have settled in countries like U.K., U.S.A., and Canada and in the Middle East often fell uneasy about the social milieu in which their children are brought up. Some of them are keen that during the formative years their children are educated and brought up to imbibe the culture based an Indian traditions and religious values. The answer to their prayers.

Social work and community service

Social service is an integral part of the school curriculum. It is intended to inculcate the habit of caring and sharing. It is a part of schools, plan to take the students sometime to rural areas. The intention is to familiarize them with their problems that the large majority’s contribution to the running of orphanages and homes for the physically and mentally challenged persons.

Outings

Periodical excursions and tours to different parts of the country are organized each year. These tours and trips undertaken at the expense of the students provide opportunity for recreation and education.
