The residents of this large colony, viz., Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi are in dire need of having a Jama Masjid, as this part of the colony is biggest residential area of Delhi’s Muslims, and where a small mosque is insufficient for their prayer needs. But due to the shortage of funds, they on their own cannot undertake the gigantic task of constructing a big mosque. For the purpose, a plot of 650 sq. yds. is available with Jamia Tul Banat al-Islamia, and a detailed estimate of expenditure for the construction of the mosque and prepared by the architect is Rs. 2,48,83,200/- (Rupees Two crores forty eight lacs eighty three thousand two hundred) .
Status: The work of the construction of the mosque has been completed 40%, and to complete the rest of the work needs about Rupees two crores (Rs. 2,00,00,000/-)
